Because of the nature of our products, The Buckeye Chocolate Company cannot offer refunds or replacements of the items purchased online in most cases. If an item is damaged during shipping, please contact us so we can submit a claim to UPS.
At extreme temperatures of 90 degrees Fahrenheit or higher we do not recommend shipping chocolate by common carrier. We can make arrangements to wait until temperatures cool down and then ship accordingly.
For temperatures above 70 degrees, we advise that a cold pack be used ($7.00 cost) to ensure the safety of your merchandise. We also recommend a maximum of two days shipping as that is the cold pack life rating. By selecting a shipping option without a cold pack, you accept full responsibility for products damaged during shipping. If a product is damaged during shipping without the recommended cold pack, we cannot offer a refund or replacement. We will contact all customers who have not chosen cold pack shipping during warmer weather before we place the shipment.
Normal shipping occurs Monday thru Thursday on a daily basis. We can ship on Friday by request only. For temperatures between 70 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit, we will ship packages on Monday through Wednesday to prevent your order from sitting in a shipping warehouse or shipping truck for the duration of the weekend. Special arrangements can be made to have your item shipped on Thursday or Friday for overnight delivery.
There is a 2-3 day time period to process your order (holidays 3-5 days). Feel free to call our office for faster services and expedited shipments.
Feel free to contact our corporate offices for any questions you have about our shipping and return policies.
